Ange Postecoglou has the opportunity to play some Tottenham youngsters against Tamworth on Sunday.
Postecoglou’s side will travel to the Lamb Ground in the third round of the FA Cup on 12 January, with the Australian expected to make seven changes.
Ahead of the clash, Chris Sutton has shared a “sensational” prediction, and Postecoglou will be well aware that anything less than victory won’t be considered acceptable on Sunday.
Therefore, making a host of changes could be considered risky. However, should Postecoglou name a fairly strong team, the game could be out of sight by halftime, which would give the Spurs boss the chance to bring on some youngsters.
And if any Under-21 or Under-18 player is going to be handed their debut against Tamworth, that player should be Damola Ajayi.
Damola Ajayi to make Tottenham debut v Tamworth?
Ajayi has been in fine form for Spurs’ Under-21s this season, recently penning a long-term deal in North London as a behind-the-scenes claim was shared.
-And the 19-year-old was back among the goals as Wayne Burnett’s side competed in their first game of the calendar year, although it would end in defeat for the North London side as Derby County ran out 2-1 winners in the Premier League 2 clash at the Moor Farm Training Centre on Friday (10 January).
However, Ajayi was still able to make an impact with his goal, and if Postecoglou was watching he will no doubt be considering including the forward in the matchday squad against Tamworth.
And should Ajayi make the bench, he could very well likely come to make his senior Tottenham debut.
