Gina-Lisa Lohfink doesn’t want to be drunk anymore and is looking for harmony. But has she really found the one at her new friend’s side? A new documentary sows doubts.
On the outside, Gina-Lisa Lohfink is still the same. Covered in bling-bling jewelry and lots of make-up on her face, she sits in her apartment in the Hesse town of Rödermark and talks about how she turned her life around. No more alcohol, fewer parties. Only the make-up remains, her “last piece of privacy”. She definitely doesn’t want to show herself without make-up. In search of an ideal world, the former GNTM candidate ended up in the small town and at the side of Missy, her new friend.

She lives in her “beautiful, perfect world,” says Lohfink in the Vox program “Where Love Falls,” and as a viewer you already suspect that the Gina-Lisa world might not be so perfect in the end. Missy and the 38-year-old have been together for a little over a year, say the two women, who don’t live together but still spend almost 24 hours a day together. Gina-Lisa reveals that she has always been bisexual, but has never publicly come out.
Missy says she thinks it’s great when her friend is asked for selfies on the street. Gina-Lisa is happy when she hears her partner talking, after all, she likes receiving compliments. Lohfink’s desire for attention, physical and verbal, cannot be ignored. Neither did Missy’s annoyed reaction to her friend’s requests.
The office clerk complains that Gina-Lisa always misrepresents her. Of course she gives her compliments. Even if there are no cameras pointed at them. The longer the production team is with the two, the icier the atmosphere becomes. “I want love and I just want affection. I behave so well,” Gina-Lisa finally sobs, while her friend sits resignedly next to her in the car. The ideal world is crumbling.
Scandals and trials
One would wish Gina-Lisa that her dreams would come true and her longing for peace and quiet would be satisfied. She used to drink constantly, it was always a “Halli Galli dirty party,” she says. She slept until early afternoon, then we continued. Her relationships also failed publicly – including with singer Marc Terenzi, who has spoken about his alcohol problem several times.
But Gina-Lisa’s problems didn’t just start with her appearances in the spotlight. In her childhood she looked after her sisters. Only her grandmother, who has since passed away, was there for her. “Most people are assholes,” is the sad conclusion of the reality TV actress. She went to court several times. Her trial against two men whom she accused of rape became a spectacle and ended in her defeat. She also lost in court against her stepfather, who is said to have beaten her.

The 36-year-old German-Italian lives in Ludwigsburg and is a body builder and fitness model by profession. What else the suit hides: He prefers to spend his free time in the gym, and he has also seen the inside of a tattoo studio more than once.

“Dangerous people are always looking for victims like me,” she says in front of the Vox cameras. Everything was supposed to be different with Missy. “I actually want to arrive and say to myself: I never need another person by my side again.” It can be assumed from the first episode of the show with the two that Missy won’t be there forever.
It’s not the first time that Gina-Lisa has spoken openly about her desires. In the jungle camp in 2017, she also became a popular figure due to her naivety, which sometimes seemed tragic. No matter who treated her badly, she believed in the good in people.
“Most men have screwed me over. I can’t break up either. I put up with so many things, it’s unbelievable. I’ve been beaten. A lot of things have been done to me. And I keep saying, OK, let’s try it again,” she admitted at the time. In trials that she was very afraid of, she wanted to be brave, but failed. Because her fellow camper Honey refused to do a task for flimsy reasons, Gina-Lisa doubted her knowledge of human nature. “What I find bad is that I’m also sad now, that I’m a bit afraid, whether you’re being honest with us or are you just putting on a show here, can we trust you?” she wondered in the camp.
It’s been eight years since her appearance in the jungle camp. But their statements are still the same today. For Gina-Lisa, one of the saddest characters in the reality TV world, falling out of love with her girlfriend would probably mean keeping looking. For closeness and security and the ideal world that she wants so much.
