Fans were hoping for blood, sweat and tears and their expectations were met! Season 2 of Fake Profile, arriving this Wednesday, January 8 on Netflix, proved to be just as sensual and murderous as the first, if not more. On the agenda: a wave of murders unexplained, deceptionsof the liesof the reconciliationsof SM sex and good touch of madness. Nothing to be bored about, then! The Red Velvet killer finally unmasked!
While the first season of Fake Profile had also been marked by various murders, season 2 doubles down by featuring a serial killer who chooses his victims on a dating app. When Camila finds herself involved in this affair, she immerses herself body and soul in the research and even goes so far as to put herself in danger to unmask the famous psychopath, who calls himself Red Velvet. However, his collaboration with the police takes time to bear fruit, with the enigmatic killer doubling his intelligence to cover his tracks and avoid being caught. However, everyone makes mistakes and so does he…or rather, so do they!
In the last episode, we discover that behind the assassin's mask was actually hiding a duo formed by Angela Ferrer and Joaquin Duval. The two met in therapy, while Angela, who was still in prison, had to undergo psychotherapy sessions. They then developed an unhealthy relationship, becoming friends, then lovers and finally, partners in crime.
Together, they decided to take revenge for Angela's ex-husband's infidelityMiguel, by trapping, through the dating application, married men wanting to have adulterous sex. Both therefore committed different murders under the same and unique false profileJoaquin also admitting to having gotten rid of Erika and Adrian.
Several shock deaths conclude the series
Fake Profile would not be true to herself without her multitude of twists and turns for the final bouquet. Thus, the end of the series is punctuated by several unexpected deathswhich will not have failed to shock the spectators.
-To start, SantiagoVanessa's husband, discovers that his wife is cheating on him with Angela, which plunges him into a rage. Having become threatening and violent towards the two women, he is brutally shot down by Vanessawho shoots him in the head to prevent him from attacking his mistress. The two lovers then take care to make disappear the body by plunging it into a bathtub of acidleaving no evidence behind.
It is then Emmanuel's turn to meet a disastrous fate. While he indulges in a shibari session with Angela, the latter becomes angry when he realizes that she still has feelings for Miguel. Affected by what he says to her, she takes advantage of the fact that he is tied up to suffocate him with a plastic bag and leaves his corpse hanging on the terrace.
At that moment, Camila enters the house and discovers the scene with horror. Joaquin Duval, who arrives, lurking in the shadows, puts her to sleep with chloroform and kidnaps her, while Angela stays behind to clean up the crime scene.
Camila is saved by Miguel
Fainted, Camila finally wakes up on a boat in the open sea. She discovers Joaquin at the controls, fights with him, but cannot gain the upper hand. He then tells her everything he did with Angela and tells her about their plan in great detail, until Miguel intervenes and confronts him in hand-to-hand combat. The police also arrive at this time and Indira shoots Joaquin, who collapses on the bridge. Miguel and Camila are safe and sound and will finally be able to live their love peacefully.
Is a season 3 planned for Fake Profile ?
If Netflix has not yet announced anything regarding the future of Fake Profilea sequel is entirely possible given the latest images of season 2. Angela, who is therefore guilty of a multitude of crimes, took off with Vanessa, without having to account for her actions. It would therefore not be surprising if we found her again in a few months for new adventures, which we can already imagine as torrid as they are chilling.
