An altercation apparently degenerated between groups of young people this Friday, January 3 very early at the exit of a nightclub in Brittany. Two young people then drove towards the other group. Among the victims, who were treated by emergency services, a 21-year-old young man and a 16-year-old minor.
In Vannes in Morbihan, an altercation outside a nightclub, Zip, apparently degenerated this Friday, January 3 according to information from West France. Around 6:30 a.m. on Winston-Churchill Street, a group of three young people, including two minors, thought they were going home on foot when they were hit by a car.
Two victims in a state of emergency, the third in a state of shock
Among the victims was a 21-year-old who was “projected over the wall of the Hôtel du Golfe”. The second victim is a 16-year-old minor who was also dragged for several meters. They were both transported to hospitals in the region, where they were treated by emergency services in a state of absolute emergency. The third person present, also aged 16, was not affected and escaped unhurt but was “pronounced state of shock”.
The suspect was arrested by the police, his car having been blocked by a bus from the Vannes urban network. The driver and his passenger were therefore arrested. The driver, according to our colleagues, would be a 22-year-old man, originally from the Anjou region. He would be homeless.
“I heard a big boom”
A man living on the street where the incident occurred said he “heard a big boom”. “I got up to look out the window. I saw a group of young people who looked totally panicked. They were shouting a lot. One of them was lying on the ground and another was screaming: He's killed him! he adds to West France.
The owner of the nightclub, Tony Lebreton, declared that the establishment will be closed this evening. To our colleagues at West Francehe declares “that there was no altercation in the establishment”, and that its security services separated groups of young people “each to their own”. They then noticed that one of them, in a black Opel, “Turn around and head back in the direction the other group was going.” Compared to the age of 16 of two of the victims, he explains that to enter the establishment “Legally it’s 16 but we try not to let people in at that age. But they presented false cards.”
