Terrible outcome in the case of the disappearance of a mother and her 8-year-old boy in Romans-sur-Isère. Laurent de Caigny, public prosecutor of Valence, said this Friday, January 3: “At the end of the morning the Chabeuil gendarmes discovered the vehicle sought and notified the police officers at the Romans-sur-Isère police station. Near the vehicle, the lifeless bodies of two people appearing to be the child and his mother sought, subject to the findings to be made, were discovered.
The exact circumstances of their death unknown
The head of the prosecution adds: “The exact circumstances of their death remain unknown at this time. The investigation still entrusted to the Romans-sur-Isère police station is now followed by the charge of deprivation of care for a minor aged fifteen by ascendant having led to death, a qualification likely to evolve depending on the findings of legal medicine which must intervene with the competition of doctors from the Grenoble medicolegal institute”.
A call for witnesses was launched this Thursday, January 2 by the police when the family of the woman and the little boy had not heard from their loved ones since January 1.
