Questioned for questions not suited to a young audience, Michou's card game is officially recalled.

During the holidays, the card game “Who will be the liar”, based on a program offered on Michou's YouTube channel, was the subject of complaints from people who may have had it at Christmas.

In question, questions not adapted to a young audience, some sexualized, while the publisher of the game, Topi Games, indicated a minimum age of 7 years to play. “Who will be the liar” is now the subject of an official recall from the government website Rappel Conso, for “moral risk linked to the content.”

“A dozen cards are not for children, the age of the audience targeted for the game is therefore not appropriate” specifies Rappel Conso.

A “voluntary” reminder

The site nevertheless specifies that this is not a withdrawal by decision of the authorities, but rather a “voluntary” recall.

This was explained by Topi Games in a press release published shortly after the start of the affair. The editor, who took full responsibility for this error, explained that he “deeply regrets the inconvenience and concern” caused by certain questions.

Michou, for his part, had passed the buck to the publisher, even though he had specified in a video presenting his game that he had spent “several months” on the project, not hesitating to cite the cards containing the famous questions of sexual nature highlighted during the end-of-year holidays.

If you own a copy of the game, you should therefore make a return – online or at the relevant store – and you can receive a full refund.

It is unknown if the game will return to shelves in a new version or for an older audience.
