Elon Musk doesn't stop. Omnipresent on social networks, notably X which he owns, the billionaire once again attacked the British authorities and Prime Minister Keir Starmer on Thursday. In a burst of messages, he notably called for the release of far-right activist Tommy Robinson.
Since Labor returned to power in July in the United Kingdom and the anti-migrant and anti-Muslim riots which shook the country this summer, Elon Musk has increased his comments on British news, judging that a “civil war” is “inevitable” in the country. He says foreign investors are now fleeing the country. He especially attacks the government of Keir Starmer, accused of repressing the rioters too harshly and of leading “a tyrannical police state”.

Real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, Robinson was sentenced at the end of October to 18 months in prison for violating a 2021 court decision which prohibited him from repeating defamatory comments towards a Syrian refugee. “Why is Tommy Robinson in solitary confinement for telling the truth? », asks Elon Musk.
This emblematic figure of the British extreme right, founder in 2009 of the small group from the hooligan movement the English Defense League, has already been convicted on several occasions, notably for disturbing public order.

“In the UK, serious crimes like rape require approval from the Prosecution Service (CPS) before the police can charge suspects. Who was in charge of the CPS when gangs of rapists were able to exploit young girls without having to face justice? Keir Starmer,” writes Elon Musk.
“A new election should be held in the United Kingdom,” he adds. Conservative opposition leader Kemi Badenoch, whose party is trying to contain the rise of Reform UK, has called for an independent inquiry into several similar scandals in the UK in recent years, including Rotherham.
