The President emphasized that “we confidently walked towards our dreams and goals, but most importantly, under clear skies.”
Alexander Lukashenko thanked the Belarusians “for the best moments of the outgoing year.”
Of course, not everything was always as we dreamed. But life is like music. It sounds in different notes, in different keys. And we must always expect the best, helping each other,” the head of state noted.
In his New Year’s speech, he expressed special gratitude to everyone who heals, teaches, educates, as well as peasants, people in uniform and those “who design, build, and make our lives brighter with their creativity.” He also thanked Belarusians for their political wisdom.
We spent the single voting day with dignity. Just as calmly, without prompting or advice, they formed the All-Belarusian People's Assembly. This is a historic step, the effect of which remains to be seen in action,” said Alexander Lukashenko.
He called the flight of the first cosmonaut of sovereign Belarus another milestone in the history of the country.
The President announced that the next five-year plan in our country will be a five-year plan of quality. Each year will be devoted to one most important area, and will begin with the Year of Improvement of the Country, the goal of which will be to improve the quality of life.
Very soon we will have to choose the future of the state. We all want it to be successful and happy. And definitely peaceful!” – Lukashenko emphasized.
