During an interview, Brolin talked about his interactions with Marvel fans during conventions. Brolin revealed that one fan encounter left him speechless when he was told about a major plot hole involving his character in Avengers: Infinity War. During a recent appearance on The Graham Norton ShowBrolin was asked about his comic book roleshaving played Thanos in the MCU and Cable in Deadpool 2. At the same time, Brolin admitted that he had a hard time attending fan conventions for one reason.
I’m sorry to bother you, but did you ever realize that if you had the power to kill half the universe, you probably also had the power to create twice the resources?
Brolin explained that he was having a good time at a fan convention because a fan pointed out the above loophole in his character’s motivations and actions in Avengers: Infinity War.
As a result, Brolin admitted that while it was great to interact with genuine fans, they are often super smart. Therefore, they sometimes leave him speechless, including the above instance where he was left bamboozled by the fan’s comments about the giant plot hole in Infinity War.

In the same interview, Brolin was asked about his comic book role that got him the most recognition from fans. The actor revealed that he was surprised by how many fans, especially children recognized him for his portrayal of Thanos.
Brolin noted that despite his look as the giant purple alien being different from his real-life appearance, children seemed to recognize him. As a result, they often came up to him with an unusual request, asking him to perform Thanos’ iconic snap that decimated half the population in the universe.

Brolin made the above comment, expressing his surprise at the children recognizing him as Thanos despite the character being a villain and having a scary look.
Aside from his appearance as the Marvel villain and the anti-hero Cable, Brolin almost added a third comic book role to his filmography. The actor was reportedly offered the role of Hal Jordan / Green Lantern in the upcoming DCU series Lanterns. However, Brolin rejected the role and fans will most likely continue to recognize him as Thanos in the near future.
