The students of Star Academy work hard, but so do the teaching staff. Recently Michael Goldman was challenged by the promotion to succeed in a pledge that had been given to him. The public discovered its content during the prime after-party this Saturday, December 28. A sequence between emotions and laughter!
We know his modesty and his discretion which he undoubtedly takes from his father Jean-Jacques Goldman. After all, dogs don't make cats. However, Michael Goldman now has experience running the school of Star Academy. Following a pledge received from the students, the content of which the public did not know, the director of Dammarie-les-Lys undertook a difficult exercise: publicly expressing his gratitude and love to his work colleagues. A funny and moving speech that wet the eyes of many faculty members but also of the viewers who were watching the aftermath of Star Academy.
“This exercise, which would have been torture two years ago, I experience today as a gift, because as Nikos says, In front of the cameras you can't cheat for long. But to say good things about you is simply to say what I think.” the director began. “Hugues and Sofia I admire you because I discovered great professionals and passionate teachers. I love you for the humility and intelligence with which you knew how to take your place in this family as if you had always been part of it.” he then declared, first addressing the two new additions to his team.

“Malika I admire you because you could make a penguin dance a waltz I love you because your heart is as big as your body is small, because you are one of those very rare people who are good news for everyone all the time” he then declared to the choreographer whose eyes filled with tears. He then attacked the solar Marlène Schaff: “I admire you because in just a few weeks and even perhaps a few words you have become irreplaceable in your position because this immense amount of knowledge and experience justifies all the light that is on you and that you give it back to these children as if they were ours…”
He finally addressed those who stand together, a few benches behind the teaching staff on bonuses. “Ladji I admire you because you have achieved absolutely extraordinary things in your life and I love you because you did it while remaining the most humble and simple of guys. “Fanny and Lucy I admire you because you are the essential columns that hold this castle upright, the shadow workers who make the show possible every Saturday. I love you because you do it with the sweetness and tenderness of big sisters who want the best for their siblings…” he called out to the instructors. “And I love all 7 of you because in your fields you are infinitely better than me and despite everything where I am […] you love me a little too” he concluded before thanking them all for making his adventure “so easy”. An emotional tsunami which, however, did not take Nikos on board, “Thank you Mr. Director but it was a false pledge, the real pledge begins now and you are going to put on your underwear” he declared, trying (in vain) to keep his seriousness…
