As the sun sets on Saturday, the RMI warns with a code yellow for fog throughout the country, from 4 p.m. on Saturday until 10 a.m. on Sunday morning.

“Tonight and tonight, low cloud and fog will increase again from the west and . In areas where clear skies previously occurred, fog may also form locally, causing visibility to suddenly decrease,” the RMI said.

The fog may linger for a long time on Sunday morning, especially on the coast and in the rest of West Flanders and in large parts of Wallonia. In the provinces of East Flanders, Antwerp, Flemish Brabant and Limburg it may arrive before 10 am.

From 8 p.m. on Sunday evening and for a large part of the night, frost patches (freezing fog) can also cause slippery roads locally, the RMI warns. Especially in the provinces of Limburg and Liège, where the low cloud cover only increases later, you must be careful for those who still have to hit the road. The RMI announces a yellow code for slippery conditions.
