American actor Hudson Meek died at the age of 16 in tragic circumstances. He appeared in Edgar Wright’s “Baby Driver.”

Born in Alabama, young actor Hudson Meek died on December 21 after falling from a moving vehicle. He was 16 years old. His family posted a message to announce his death to his fans:

“We are heartbroken to learn tonight that Hudson Meek has returned home to be with Jesus. His 16 years on this earth were far too short, but he accomplished so much and had a significant impact on all people that he met.”

His acting agency also paid tribute to him, cited by Deadline : “He was an extraordinary young talent, whose dedication, passion and potential shone brightly within our industry. Over the past ten years, he contributed greatly to the spirit of our agency and its demise leaves a void that will be deeply felt by each of us Hudson was more than just a talent, he was an inspiration and touched so many lives with his enthusiasm, his kindness, his smile and his innate ability to. light up a room and never meet foreigner. We will all remember him with great affection.”

The police are investigating

The site Al.com was the first to announce the death of the young actor, which occurred on December 19 along Canyon Road in Vestavia Hills (Alabama). According to local police interviewed by Al.com, Hudson Meek was injured by a blunt object after falling from a moving vehicle. He was taken to hospital where he was pronounced dead on December 21. Vestavia Hills police are investigating the circumstances of his death.

In “Baby Driver”

Hudson Meek began his career at age six with a small role in the movie The Christmas Scam (2014). The following year, he appeared alongside Kate Bosworth and Hayden Christensen in 90 Minutes in Paradise. In 2017, he played the young version of Ansel Elgort’s character in Edgar Wright’s Baby Driver.

We saw him again on the small screen in MacGyver (2018) or Legacies, and had just starred in the feature film The School Duel by Todd Wiseman Jr (2024).
