Was Flanders waiting for Bart De Pauw to return to the spotlight? The answer seems to be 'yes'. Only this morning it was announced that De Pauw would be presenting its own theater show next year – sales started at 10 am – and in the meantime the tickets are flying out the door. Anyone who wants to get a ticket for the first performances in the Antwerp City Theater (April 29), the Trixxo Theater in Hasselt (May 13) or the Capitole in Ghent (May 27) should not delay too long. Ticket prices vary between 59 and 49 euros per ticket.

The performance does not have a name yet and the content is still a bit of a guess. According to the press announcement, it will be “a fun, surprising and creative theater show full of funny observations in the typical Bart De Pauw style” and De Pauw will also try to sing. “The show is therefore not for sensitive ears,” it sounds. The former television maker seems to be looking forward to it. “In my younger years I was already on theater stages and creating and presenting my own show had been on my 'bucket list' for some time.”
Encores in Antwerp and Ghent
Two additional performance dates have already been added to the be.at ticket website. A day after the premiere, De Pauw will return to the Antwerp City Theater and he will also perform an encore number at the Capitole in Ghent. Tickets are now also on sale for these extra shows.
For De Pauw, the theater show will mean the end of a long period in the shadows. Seven years ago, the VRT stopped cooperation with him after complaints of inappropriate behavior. After a much-discussed trial, De Pauw was eventually found guilty of harassing five women and causing electronic nuisance to one of them.(THE)
