Bad surprise for several motorists who refueled last week at the Leclerc station located in Loroux-Bottereau (Loire-Atlantique), near Nantes. As spotted by L'Hebdo du Sèvre & Maine, many Internet users expressed their dismay on social networks after having broken down. They had refueled during the day of December 17.
Problem: the diesel and SP95 E10 were reversed in the tanks at the gas station during delivery. This “started at 1:20 p.m. and lasted almost an hour. Distribution was cut off at 3:30 p.m. upon receipt of the first calls,” the E.Leclerc Petro Ouest after-sales service tells our colleagues. Pumping operations were undertaken and the situation was restored on Thursday December 19.
A possible complaint
It is currently unknown how many customers were harmed by this incident. In all cases, the company ensures that impacted users will be taken care of. “Files are already being processed by our customer service,” says Petro Ouest. Motorists who have broken down following their passage between 1:20 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. can write to the following address: [email protected].
At the beginning of December, dozens of drivers also saw their vehicles damaged after purchasing Sans-Plomb 95 from Total in Normandy. Twelve stations were identified for offering gasoline mixed with water, according to West France. Here too, people who suffered damage were invited to contact Total to receive compensation.
