An area of rain will quickly move eastward on Saturday.
At the back, the weather will become temporarily drier again, but clear spells will be rare. Further rain or drizzle will return from the west in the second part of the day. More sustained precipitation will finally arrive late in the afternoon and evening, according to forecasts from the Royal Meteorological Institute (MRI). Temperatures will be rising and will reach 4 to 11°C in the evening, going from the Hautes Fagnes towards the coast. The southwest wind will strengthen to become moderate to quite strong with gusts of 60 and 70 km/h, in the south of the country 50 to 60 km/h.
Next night, an area of rain will cross the regions from west to east during the first part of the night. At the back, more variable and colder weather will settle in over the country with showers which will become wintry in the upper Ardennes at the end of the night. A few sunny spells will sometimes separate the showers. Temperatures will drop and will vary at the end of the night between 1°C in the upper Ardennes and 7°C by the sea. The moderate to fairly strong southwest wind will move to the west with gusts of 60 to 70 km/h.
On Sunday, unstable and quite cold maritime polar currents will determine the weather. The cloudiness will be variable to abundant with showers which will be wintry in the Ardennes. A small accumulation of snow may form on the eastern highlands and a few isolated thunderclaps are not excluded. During the afternoon, showers will become more scattered from the west with more clearing. The maxima will vary between 1°C in the upper Ardennes and 7°C by the sea. The west to southwest wind will be moderate to quite strong with peaks close to 60 km/h, especially during showers.
