Whether or not you were delighted by Pantone’s choice of “mocha mousse” as color of the year, there’s no escaping the fact that brown—in all its shades—has dominated the streets and runways this year.
Sydney Sweeney is the latest celebrity to embrace the brown renaissance, and she showed it plenty of love during a night out with fiancé Jonathan Davino in New York City’s Chelsea neighborhood on Sunday.
The Anyone But You star looked cozy in light brown (dare we say mocha mousse?) knit sweater with a chevron pattern at the top in caramel brown, chocolate brown, and icy white. The zig-zag pattern was broken up by clusters of shiny crystals, which gave the Western-inspired top a holiday spin.
Sweeney wore the sweater with straight-let leather pants in a deep chocolate. She capped off her look with pointy ankle boots in snow-white, brown rectangular sunglasses, and dangly diamond earrings. She also wore her massive diamond engagement ring from Davino (he proposed in 2022), along with several other diamond rings, and a white manicure.

The film producer coordinated with his wife-to-be in white and brown staples. For his base, he wore a classic white T-shirt tucked into white pants, and paired with white sneakers. Then, to add some warmth to the icy outfit, he layered on a fuzzy beige cardigan with brown buttons and a chocolate-brown leather jacket that went perfectly with Sweeney’s pants. Davino accessorized with brown retro-inspired shades and a silver watch.
