In a spectacular celebration held in Marrakech, the 2024 CAF Awards recognized the exceptional performances of national teams in Africa. The prestigious title of best women’s national team was awarded to Nigeriaacclaimed for its consistent excellence on the continent.
In the men’s category, Ivory Coast won the ‘Best African Team of the Year’ award after their momentous victory in the African Cup of Nations held in early January.
Among the individual awards, Lamine CamaraAS Monaco’s talented Senegalese midfielder, was named ‘Best Young African Player of 2024’. At just 20 years old, he shows the bright future of African football.
This year’s awards highlighted not only team triumphs, but also determination and talent within African football, as legends of the game came together to pay tribute to these achievements.
