“Yes, we really filmed in a real airport. We had the incredible privilege of being able to shoot on physical locations. Our production team transformed an abandoned New Orleans airport into a Los Angeles airport. So we had an entire airport as our playground“, Sofia Carson told us. The effect is successful because it brings an additional touch of credibility to the film Carry-On. The actress, who spoke about her big action sequence in the feature film, also told us what her best memory of filming is. “I liked the very last scene of the film, the one where Ethan ends up saving the day. The plane lands, it jumps and Nora is in the middle of 15 police cars. They then run towards each other and hug. We filmed this scene at night in New Orleans, on the tarmac, with planes actually landing around us. It was very exciting and grandiose“, the actress explained to us.
