He managed to escape in the night… but was trapped in the fields in broad daylight.

The Hyères gendarmerie company announces that it has arrested a suspected drug dealer following a check carried out by the surveillance and intervention squad.

More precisely, on December 7 around 11 p.m., while the soldiers stopped a vehicle, the individual fled, leaving behind him “a bag containing a cell phone, and several bags of cocaine (25 grams) and resin (20 grams) “explain the investigators.

However, that evening, they arrested a second individual, who remained on site and who was holding “a sachet of 5 grams of resin and 1 gram of cocaine”.

Heard by the gendarmes of the La Londe Les Maures brigade, he “will be summoned to court later” specify the soldiers who are also opening an investigation concerning the fugitive.

Placed in detention

“Quickly identified, the latter turned out to be well known to the police and was arrested on Monday December 9 around 11 a.m. in a vineyard while trying to escape control.”

In this second attempt to escape, he left behind two phones and 470 euros.

When they arrested him, the gendarmes announced that they had found on him “a third mobile phone, the sum of 50 euros and a bag of 3 grams of cannabis resin”.

Placed in police custody for the acts of use, possession, transport, offer or transfer of narcotics, he was subject to an immediate appearance and requested time to prepare his defense. While awaiting this hearing, set for January 24, he was placed in detention.
