Before the start of the match, Matthieu Lartot, the flagship journalist of France Télévisions who had been amputated below the right knee in the summer of 2023 following a recurrence of cancer, revealed the installation set up by the southern club to receive him alongside Dimitri Yachvili. “Thank you @rctofficiel for the installation. And thank you to the @francetvsport teams” wrote the 45-year-old man on his Instagram account.
All accompanied by a hashtag #pmrlife and a photo of the two men comfortably seated in a seat with the France Télévisions microphone in hand. “I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Rugby Club Toulonnais who installed a tailor-made commentator position for us today” also added Matthieu Lartot live on France 3 before the start of the match.
