While François Bayrou, newly appointed Prime Minister by Emmanuel Macron, must compose the future government with the challenge of opening it to the left, Philippe Brun, socialist deputy for the 4th constituency of Eure, was offered the post of minister of the Economy.
Contacted by France 3 Normandie, the deputy confirmed the information. “I am not going, at 33, to start a career as a right-wing minister” he said, indicating that he would have liked the information not to be disclosed.
