Buts : Chotard (17e) and Sainte-Luce (80e) for the MHSC // Laborde (17e) and Bouanani (28e) for the Aiglons
The Aiglons have lead in their wings.
A few days after having almost said goodbye to the Europa League, Nice once again tripped up by conceding a draw in Montpellier (2-2).
A result all the more frustrating as the Niçois led twice in the table. First thanks to Gaëtan Laborde, author of a magnificent sequence at the entrance to the surface and concluded with a missile under the helm of Benjamin Lecomte (0-1, 17e). Joris Chotard then equalized with a header from the penalty spot (1-1, 22e)before Badredine Bouanani scored his fourth professional goal, also after a festival made of sole dribbling and placed roll-up (1-2, 28e). But the self-sacrifice of Jean-Louis Gasset and his players made the difference in the face of opposing apathy. At the end of the match, Théo Sainte-Luce, alone and found behind by Mousa Al-Tamari, put everyone back on the same level (2-2, 80e). Nice is therefore still letting points slip away and stagnates in sixth place, Montpellier only takes one point, but is now four lengths behind the first non-relegation place.
