Sergio Ramos has become a name on the wishlist of Argentine giants Boca Juniors ahead of the opening of the January transfer window.
Buenos Aires-based media have reported that the club is drawing up a transfer strategy and are expected to contact the veteran defender soon to discuss the possibility of a collaboration.
The former legend of Real Madrid has been without a club since July of this year after ending his cooperation with Sevilla.
Despite a complicated season for Sevilla who changed three coaches, Ramos was one of the most distinguished players in the squad.
His Sevilla team was eliminated in the group stage of the Champions League, where they managed to earn only two points from six games played.
They also finished 14th in the Spanish league as they failed to progress beyond the quarter-finals of the Copa del Rey, where they were knocked out 3-1 by Atletico Madrid.
With the 2025 Club World Cup on the horizon next summer, Boca Juniors president Juan Roman Riquelme is excited to have two legends like Edinson Cavani and Sergio Ramos in the squad.
Ramos would however have to accept a huge pay cut compared to what he earned at Sevilla to facilitate his move there./Telegraph/
