“I think I’m well preserved!” » No doubt, our new Miss has a sense of humor, according to her first public speech, during a press conference, less than an hour after her coronation.

Angélique Angarni-Filopon, Miss crowned Miss France 2025, answered a question about her age. Because she is indeed the oldest Miss France in history, at 34 years old.

Job, career, profile… Portrait of the new crowned head of France.

Miss Martinique

At 34 years old, Angélique Angarni-Filopon is originally from Martinique. She was born in Fort-de-France, then grew up in Val-d’Oise with her brother and sister. After her coronation last night, Angélique Angarni-Filopon wanted to thank her original department.

“It is an honor to stand before you. When I won the Miss Martinique competition, I told the people of Martinique that we were going to do it together. And we did it together! THANKS ! », Reacted the young woman in front of an audience of viewers this Saturday, December 14, just after the announcement of her victory, at Futuroscope.

And for good reason, it is the first time Martinique brings the crown home. This is not the first time that our new national representative has tried to win the crown for her department, however. Already in 2011, at the age of 21, she was crowned first runner-up to Miss Martinique.

Represent “all the women who were told it was too late”

The Miss France competition, for its 95th edition and the first time in its history, was crowned Saturday evening a thirty-year-old candidate. Because Angélique Angarni-Filopon is 34 years old. This is therefore the first time that a Miss France is so old.

“In 2011, a young woman aged 20 finished first runner-up in the Miss Martinique competition. Today, it is this same young woman of 34 years who stands before you to once again represent Martinique, its diaspora as well as all the women who were once told it was too late », Said Miss France 2025 when she spoke during the ceremony.

Her victory in the beauty contest was made possible by an overhaul of the rules two years ago. Under pressure from critics, the organizers lifted any age limit – previously set at 24 years – and opened applications to married women and mothers.

« I’m constantly reminded of my ageI believe I am well preserved,” said Miss Martinique, just crowned Miss France, at a press conference just after her victory.

But 34 is young. They say that your thirties are the best years, I can confirm it to you.

The young woman therefore makes a point of affirming that there is no age to be Miss France. This year, however, the candidacy of a 52-year-old woman did not go beyond the regional level.

Stewardess

In life, Angélique Angarni-Filopon is also flight attendant for Air Caraibesthe company which links the metropolis to the Antilles, in particular. Miss France 2025 will therefore have to swap her hostess uniform for the Miss scarf for a year.

A job that undoubtedly taught him to speak in public and to be comfortable. And indeed, Miss Martinique did not seem intimidated by the gaze of spectators during the ceremony.

“When we do safety demonstrations, we have 372 eyes on us,” she said at a press conference.

“A great personality”

On social networks, its naturalness and positive energy were noted by viewers.

” She has crazy charismaa great personality and an incredible vibe,” reacted a user of X (ex-Twitter). His sense of humor was also noticed, after a pun on his hair.

“I’m going to cut my speech short,” she joked, pointing to her short hair. This is also the second time that a Miss with short hair has been crowned, after Ève Gilles and her iconic short haircut, crowned in 2024.
