The first dangerous attack of the match was for Boca, at 22 minutes, when full-back Marcelo Saracchi went over the top and placed a cross for the arrival of forward Milton Giménez, who could not head accurately.
Just two minutes later, midfielder Kevin Zenón made a great filtered and crossed pass for the appearance of winger Exequiel Zeballos, but goalkeeper Rodrigo Rey was attentive to cut off the pass and anticipate the one-on-one.
The “Red” opened the second half with its clearest arrival of the game.
