Yvette Labrousse

Daughter of a tram driver and a seamstress, Yvette Labrousse, Miss crowned 6th Miss France in 1930, married fourteen years later the Aga Khan III, former President of the General Assembly of the League of Nations. Yvette Labrousse, who became Beghum of the Ismailis, died at the age of 94 in July 2000, after a life marked by humanitarian commitment.

Valérie Pascal

Crowned Miss France 1986, Valérie Pascal, elected Miss a year earlier, was recruited at the end of her reign as an announcer by FR3, the regional channel. M6 poached it for its launch. Doubly crowned Miss France and Miss Europe in 2000, Elodie Gossuin was the first beauty queen to win two successive mandates as general councilor of Picardy, from 2004 to 2015, on various right-wing lists. “At the beginning, people didn’t take me seriously,” she confided in Magazine. “It’s very difficult to escape from a caricatured image…”. Co-host of the RFM morning show for several years, Elodie Gossuin, 43, has not given up on a possible mandate as an MP.

Sylvie Tellier

A lawyer by training, holder of a master's degree in business law and taxation, Sylvie Tellier, elected Miss Lyon in 2001, was crowned Miss France 2002. Three years later, after the purchase of the competition by Endemol from the Fontenay family , she joined the Miss France Company as communications manager, before succeeding Geneviève de Fontenay as general director. She has today left her position within the Miss France company.
