PSV will try to recover on Saturday evening after the painful 1-0 defeat against Stade Brestois in Guingamp. The opponent is the ailing SC Heerenveen of coach Robin van Persie.
Changes at both Heerenveen and PSV, partly out of necessity: Lang and Bakayoko bench
The latter will have to make do without Pawel Bochniewicz in the coming months, who is struggling with a serious cruciate ligament injury. There were question marks behind the names of Jacob Trenskow and Mats Köhlert.
At PSV, Peter Bosz is missing Sergiño Dest, Adamo Nagalo and Couhaib Driouech, as has been the case for some time. Joey Veerman, on the other hand, will make his starting return. His comrade Jerdy Schouten has already been on the bench for ninety minutes twice and hopes to make his return by coming on as a substitute. Not Ricardo Pepi in the point, but ‘just’ Luuk de Jong. Those who are victimized are wing players Noa Lang and Johan Bakayoko. They move to the bench in favor of Guus Til and Ivan Perisic. So Malik Tillman starts as a disguised left winger.
Bosz said this week about Van Persie: “I watch it with great interest, how he occasionally swims against the current. I have experienced that myself.”
