MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) – Welcome to the weekend! Clouds start thin for our Saturday but increase throughout the day ahead of rain that will stay with us into next week.
FIRST ALERT: WARMING BACK UP WITH RAIN
Clouds start thin throughout much of Saturday morning. Morning lows keep us cool in the lower 40s, but we’ll top out on Saturday in the upper 60s with rain coming into the picture in the afternoon and evening.
Rain sticks around into Sunday as well, with warmer overnight lows in the mid-lower 50s thanks to the cloud cover and highs in the upper 60s and lower 70s for your Saturday.
Kicking off your workweek, rain will continue to be a prominent factor throughout Monday and Tuesday as well, both with highs in the lower 70s. Bottom line, keep your rain gear handy throughout the weekend and into the start of the coming week, as scattered to widespread showers throughout the weekend continue into the start of next week!
Now the good news is that, as we come into Wednesday and Thursday, we do see the pattern change. We’ll be back in the upper 60s and lower 70s for Wednesday, but rain and clouds clear out as (much like last week) a cold front moves through to clear us out.
Thursday brings back the cold with highs in the upper 50s and partly cloudy skies heading into the coming week’s end.
