Alongside Marie Drucker, Alain Bauerprofessor of criminology, provides technical, psychological, sociological or historical insight into each case to understand the processes implemented during the investigation, but also its issues and repercussions.
Each news item recounts not only the evolution of the investigation methods of the police and gendarmerie services, but also an era, an environment, a region, a historical or social context. Through the story of the crimes and their resolution, Au bout de l'investigation writes every Saturday a little-known page in the history of French society.
