Alexis and Félix Lebrun, who will end their season on Saturday in the Champions League, are in enormous demand, confirms their father Stéphane. The two French table prodigies must therefore refuse numerous offers.

The end of the season is finally approaching for the Lebrun brothers, who will end their incredible year this weekend, during the round of 16 of the Champions League. Their club, the Alliance Nîmes-, faces the Austrians SPG Felbermayr Wels. With a match on the program for the world number 1 doubles, Saturday evening (8 p.m.). And even if this meeting, scheduled at the Pierre-de-Coubertin hall, surprisingly does not attract crowds, to the great regret of Stéphane Lebrun, father of the two prodigies and manager of the Alliance Nîmes-Montpellier Table Tennis club.

“Requests for films, books, advertisements”

If the club does not yet have “a room worthy of the name”, its Alain-Achille room will see its capacity double and increase to nearly 1,000 people, with the support of the mayor of Montpellier, reports Midi Libre. A regional daily in which Stéphane Lebrun also discusses the new and crazy popularity of Alexis and Félix, who have become superstars of French sport after their prowess during the Olympic Games, where Félix (18 years old) won bronze in singles but also in doubles alongside his older brother Alexis (21) and Simon Gauzy.

“They need to have time for themselves.”

While their mother confides that the family's life “has changed”, their father explains that “the requests have become completely crazy. It doesn't stop. Every day. For requests for films, books, of ads… We have to limit all that, they have to have time for themselves”, judges Stéphane Lebrun. Highly in demand, the Héraultais therefore had to learn to say no, they who were still very present in the media, notably in the program Le Juste Prix, but for a good cause, or even during the ZEvent in Montpellier, a charity event organized by the streamer Zerator. But will we see them in the cinema soon? It obviously only depends on them and those around them…
