MARIAH CAREY
Two days after cancelling her concert in Pittsburgh because of the flu, Mariah Carey has also cancelled her show scheduled for tonight (Dec. 13) at The Prudential Center in Newark.
She wrote on X, on Dec 11: “Pittsburgh, I am sorry to say, I’ve come down with the flu. It breaks my heart that I unfortunately have to cancel tonight’s show. I love you all so much.”
This was followed, today, by a message that read, “Newark and Belmont — I wish I had better news but unfortunately I’m still sick and have to cancel the shows tonight and on Sunday. I’m really devastated about it and appreciate your support. Love, MC.”
Her cancelled Dec. 15 show was at The UBS Arena at Belmont Park in Elmont, New York. Not canceled is the last show of her current Mariah Carey’s Christmas Time tour, which takes place Dec. 17 at The Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
According to a message on PruCenter.com, “If you purchased tickets through Ticketmaster, refunds will be issued automatically; there is nothing further ticketholders need to do. If you purchased from a third-party reseller (StubHub, SeatGeek, VividSeats) etc., please reach out to your point of purchase.”
The tour celebrates the 30th anniversary of Carey’s hit, “All I Want for Christmas Is You.”
