Actress, model, brand designer… A versatile candidate
Stella Vangioni began her professional career with studies in translation (French, English, German), before redirecting to a film school, where she realized her dream of becoming an actress. Today, she flourishes in comedy, notably thanks to her role in the series “Un si grand soleil” broadcast on France 3, and is also an entrepreneur. Indeed, the young woman recently created her brand Umanu Swimwear, an environmentally friendly swimwear brand.
“I felt it was the right time to get started.”
If today she is preparing to take the stage of Miss France as Miss Corsica, this adventure is far from being a whim for the young woman. “ Ten years ago, a former Miss Corsica encouraged me to try my luck, but at the time I was focusing on my studies. However, over the years the idea kept coming up, and this year I felt like it was the right time to take the plunge “, she says.
Despite the mental challenge such a competition represents, camera-loving Stella Vangioni seems perfectly prepared: “ I feel ready, even though I knew it would be a mental challenge. Ultimately, what I thought would be difficult turned out to be an extremely rewarding experience. I enjoy every moment and I can't wait to be on stage “, she confides. The rehearsals, which reminded him of his theatrical experience, reinforced his joy at finding a group atmosphere. “ I see the camera as a tool. Even if thousands of viewers are watching us, I prefer to concentrate on the present moment, on the stage and on the audience “, she explains.
Mental health as a priority
Like all the Misses who will present themselves to the public this Saturday, Stella Vangioni wishes to defend a cause that is dear to her: that of mental health. “ Mental health is still too taboo a subject. Around me, many loved ones are facing problems, such as eating disorders, ADHD or even depression, but many hesitate to consult for fear of judgment. “, she confides. For her, breaking this taboo is essential. “ I would like to help lift this stigma and encourage people to seek help, because being able to talk about it is crucial freely. » She continues: “ Today, seeing a psychologist is too expensive for many and too often seen as a sign of weakness. I want to change this and help those who need it “, she affirms with conviction.
Miss Corsica calls for island solidarity
As Miss Corsica, Stella Vangioni wishes to highlight the culture and values of the island. “ In Corsica, we welcome people as members of our own family, and I would like to share this human warmth and generosity “, she explains. She thus hopes to transmit this kindness and this sense of family which characterize the Île-de-Beauté. But beyond promoting Corsican culture and values, it is also committed to defending the cause of the environment and the oceans, particularly through its ethical swimwear.
For her, the election of Miss France is a collective adventure, where the involvement of all of Corsica is essential. “ I call on the Corsicans to vote for me, because I need their support. If I am lucky enough to reach the top 15, they will be the ones who can help me reach the top 5. This competition is a collective adventure, and their help is essential », she concluded.
