This weekend, the cold and gray prevail. The Mediterranean regions are doing better.
This weekend, gray and humid weather will invade most of the country. Conditions are wintry, with cool temperatures. Even if no bad weather is expected, clouds often have the advantage. A situation which can be explained by a light northwesterly flow, cool and above all humid. The Mediterranean is benefiting from more pleasant weather, announces the Météo Channel*.
A fairly cold and cloudy Saturday
An Atlantic disturbance crosses a large part of France, bringing very overcast skies and localized showers. From 1000 m altitude, flakes appear on the reliefs. In the south-east, the weather remains pleasant with clearings, although more unstable weather is expected in Corsica.
In the morning, frosts are still present from the center to the east, while in Corsica, temperatures are milder. In the afternoon, temperatures vary between 3°C in Alsace and 14°C in Corsica, with an average of 10°C near the Atlantic.
The cold should continue in the east on Sunday
On Sunday, a new Atlantic disturbance affects the country, but its activity remains low, due to fairly high pressures. A few scattered drops or light rain as the disturbance passes north of the Seine. A slow warm spell could appear over the Atlantic, while the cold should persist in the east.
In the afternoon, temperatures vary between 3°C in Alsace and 14°C in the Mediterranean. The trend is towards a gradual approach to seasonal norms.
