We draw readers’ attention to the fact that the table of coefficients provided below is intermediate and not final, published for understanding the weekly dynamics of the movement of football associations throughout the current season. The final standings table will be published after the conclusion of the European cup season, and it will determine the representation of countries in European competitions for the 2026-2027 season.

This time of year typically sees a summation of the group stage; however, with UEFA’s reforms, the newly created league stage will only reach its end in January, thus deferring the formal checkpoint to next year. Nevertheless, as both Ukrainian clubs that advanced to the main stage of the European cups played six matches at the main stage just like before the reforms, interim results are more than relevant.
Therefore, at the end of the autumn-winter segment, Ukraine has a season coefficient of 2.600 in the UEFA rankings. By digging into the archives of past years, we understand that Ukrainian clubs have set another worst “intermediate finish” on record – the worst December indicator in the last 27 yearsonly worse in the 1996-1997 season when “Chornomorets”, “Dynamo”, and Vinnytsia’s “Niva” accumulated even fewer points. And then, Valeriy Lobanovskyi returned to “Dynamo”, and from that moment on, the overall curve of European cup results began to rise.
Dipping into history, the current season finds Ukraine now behind Cyprus and Swedensitting in 23rd place in the coefficient table.
