“It all looks like bad vaudeville”castigated the national secretary of the Ecologists on BFM-, in reaction to the appointment of François Bayrou to Matignon. For Marine Tondelier, “the more Emmanuel Macron loses electoral ground, the more he clings to those very close to him who embody the most faithful Macronism”. “It’s incomprehensible on the electoral level”she added, referring to the results of the last legislative elections.

Concerning the continuation and the future of this future Barnier government, Marine Tondelier affirms that the Ecologist group in the Assembly “will look carefully to see if the Prime Minister commits not to use 49.3”. A proposal formulated by the Ecologists, the socialists and the communists during the meeting at the Elysée, in the event of the appointment of a prime minister from their ranks. “Mr. Bayrou seemed open, we will see what he will do”she explained. Mme Tondelier is also waiting to see “the content of the emerging policies”.

“If it’s to keep the same, to leave Bruno Retailleau inside, to do nothing on pensions, ecology, tax justice… I don’t see what other choice we will have not to censor him”she warned.
