In a press release sent to Dakaractu, the collective of lawyers of Lat Diop made a point of denying rumors reporting an alleged reimbursement of 3 billion CFA francs to the State of Senegal on the part of their client and that there would still be 2 billion to pay.
“This is false and unfounded information. Before repaying, you must have to. Mr. Lat Diop owes absolutely nothing to the State of Senegal, which he served loyally and honestly in the past. This information only concerns those who released it and is the result of gross manipulation and intoxication,” they said. Before specifying: “Mr. Lat Diop calmly awaits the decisions of the financial indictment chamber. As for the undersigned lawyers, of whom the site claims to be its source, they reserve the right to bring the authors of such false information before the criminal courts if a denial is not published in the same manner.
