Yari Verschaeren had to be substituted during half-time between Slavia Prague and RSC Anderlecht. The attacking midfielder managed to score in Anderlecht’s 1-2 win, but had to leave the field with a shoulder injury.
Verschaeren left the Slavia Prague stadium dejected with a wrapped arm supported by a brace. “It’s his shoulder and not his collarbone. Yari was torpedoed and fell badly. At halftime he had difficulty and pain to lift his arm. We’ll see how bad it is,” quotes The Newspaper head coach David Hubert.
Hubert is very disappointed with the new injury at Anderlecht, where Jan Vertonghen, Thorgan Hazard, Mario Stroeykens, Killian Sardella, Samuel Edozie, Tristan Degreef and Majeed Ashimeru are already injured. “It’s a shame, because Yari was good in the last two matches and now he also scored,” Hubert concluded. Verschaeren was also accurate in the 2-1 victory against Beerschot.
