Astro Bot wins Game of the Year at 2024 Game Awards in Los Angeles — as it happened

Taking a look at our earlier predictions, only a few of the rumoured announcements were made.

Here’s what we predicted at the start of the show:

• Switch 2 release date
• It Takes 2 developer’s new game title reveal. (according to Dealabs it’ll be called Split Fiction)
• The second GTA6 trailer
• Borderlands 4 trailer
• Resident Evil 9 announcement
• Bloodborne new development. A sequel? A remake?
• Hollow Knight Silksong release date

No Switch 2 release date, no GTA6 trailer, no RE9 announcement, no Bloodborne, no Hollow Knight.

We did get a Borderlands 4 trailer (even if it was mostly animated with not much gameplay) and the reveal of Split Fiction.

So, our intuition (AKA the Tweets we read) were a little off.
