The 2024 Game Awards have just started a few minutes ago, and the first big announcements are already coming one after the other. Among the biggest surprises, we find Elden Ring which returns in a brand new game: Elden Ring Nightreign.
Elden Ring is back!
We're not going to lie, no one expected to see such an announcement so early in the evening! While the pre-show of Game Awards has just ended and the ceremony has already started very strongly with a first trailer for The Witcher 4, Geoff Keighley has decided not to waste time by directly sending a second huge cartridge. From Software is back with the world of Elden Ring, but not for a sequel!
They warned a few weeks ago that they were not currently planning to work on Elden Ring II and they were more or less right since the new Elden Ring game is not really a sequel but a game apart. Please note, we are not talking about a DLC here but rather a full game. The latter is called Elden Ring Nightreignand it was revealed thanks to a first gameplay trailer which already demonstrates a lot of new features.
Elden Ring Nightreign focuses on cooperation
If we very quickly recognize the environments of the Entreterre that we were able to travel up and down in Elden Ring, we immediately see that this new Elden Ring Nightreign will allow you to move in many new ways, including flying mounts. But in addition to the new cutscenes and these new ways of approaching the playing field, the real novelty of this Elden Ring Nightreign is above all thatit focuses on a multiplayer experience.
Indeed, Elden Ring Nightreign aims to be a brand new experience centered around multiplayer co-op. In the trailer, we have already been able to see several people facing the most impressive bosses in the game, including a lot of monsters that we have never seen before.
