Closure of C8: Cyril Hanouna makes a big announcement on the future of TPMP (VIDEO)

Last July Arcom delivered its verdict at the end of its Commission of Inquiry, and decided not to renew the frequency of the TNT channel. C8 should therefore stop broadcasting on February 28… Since then, a petition to save C8 has been filed as well as a first appeal to the Council of State. On November 22, the institution rejected the appeal filed by and C8 (and by NRJ 12 who is in the same situation), judging it “inadmissible because premature”. While awaiting the verdict that Arcom will deliver in a few days, the Canal+ group has made a radical choice by announcing the withdrawal of DTT from its four pay channels: CANAL+, CANAL+ Cinéma, CANAL+ Sport and Planète.

Cyril Hanouna speaks live on the future of TPMP

If the future of C8 seems compromised… Cyril Hanouna for his part has not said his last word, and is doing everything possible to save his emblematic talk show. It's live from Don't touch my post! that he spoke about the future of the show last night “Arcom would like us to stop TPMP on February 28. Well know that on February 28, we will stop TPMP…” he declared, creating suspense, before adding “…For a weekend, to resume on March 3!” he announced to the applause of the visibly relieved audience.

“There will only be one day when we won’t be on the air”

The host then wanted to reassure his teams “We are trying to find out where now. We work with big bosses. I also say this for the people who work with us, because if I continue, they continue. So darlings, know that I work on this every day. So if you were planning to go on vacation in March, cancel!” he said with humor and concluded: “Besides, we will stop on February 27, there will just be one day when we will not be on the air, it will be the 28th.”. Good news for TPMP fans, more than a million of whom have already signed the petition in support of C8.
