Canal+ launches a special Apple Music offer reserved for subscribers

While the divorce is recorded and almost complete between Canal+ and Disney+, the French brand has already been experiencing another love affair since April 2023 with a major American brand: Apple.

This December 12, the idyll comes to fruition a little further in a sector other than video streaming: Music streaming. And so it's about Apple Music.

An ever more concrete partnership

However, like Apple TV+ series and films, there is no question of enjoying them at no extra cost directly within the myCanal app. The new partnership between Apple and Canal+ remains advantageous for Canal+ subscribers, but they will have to put their hand in their pocket and then go through the Apple application.

Thus, holders of a paid subscription to Canal+ who want to try the Apple Music adventure can subscribe via their Canal+ account to benefit from a 30% discount. Only the individual subscription seems affected, which goes from 10.99 to 7.69 euros per month. Too bad for student or family packages.

Boasting a catalog of over 100,000 million songs, Apple Music is accessible on all operating systems, including Windows and Android. The service also has many features, sometimes classic (playlists, lyrics, etc.), sometimes more atypical or billed more expensive elsewhere, such as lossless audio quality or Dolby Atmos. A good point for anyone who would like, for example, to leave Spotify, which still lacks Hi-Fi audio quality.

A “cultural content aggregator”

In addition to potentially allowing Apple to reach a new audience with Apple Music, this agreement allows “to anchor CANAL+ a little more in its transformation into a true aggregator of cultural content.“

It now remains to be seen what Canal+ intends to offer in the future to continue on this path. In addition to partnerships with other brands, a new offer this time fully integrating Apple Music could, for example, see the light of day.
