Roma boss Claudio Ranieri analyzed the team’s performance after their 3-0 win over SC Braga in the Europa League.

After the match, Ranieri spoke to Sky Sport.

“The performance was positive even if in some circumstances we carried the ball too much,” said Ranier, “but you can’t want everything right away, the boys tried to win and above all to entertain the crowd.”

“Saud? He is a like a train, I saw him during training and it seemed a shame not to try him from the start.”

“I repeat, I couldn’t play friendlies, even in previous matches, I was doubtful about using him, I thought about how he could react and luckily for Roma he reacted well.”

“On Pellegrini: he found the back of the net, during training he had started to find the goal and I’m happy for him.”

“I talk to the boys and I asked them for help. I asked them everything and then it’s up to me to know how to put them on the field.”

“They hadn’t forgotten how to play football and now they’re starting to show it. We’re at the beginning of the story, at least with me, and there’s a lot to do.”

“Kone? You could see that he is a strong player. His room for improvement is to be able to understand when he has to play the ball and when to carry it.”

“In the second half he started to run, instead he had to make the ball run. But little by little we are getting there. He is a top player in the making.”
