It is during the end-of-year holidays that the interest on your secure investments – such as the Livret A, the LDDS, the LEP, the PEL or the CEL – is credited by your bank. All these investments follow the same principle: interest is generated on the 1st and 16th of each month, depending on the balance present on these dates. For example, if you deposit 100 euros into a Livret A earning 3% on the 30th of the month, your interest will start on the 16th of the following month, for an annual amount of 3 euros.
Livret A and LDDS
With a fixed rate of 3% in 2024, the Livret A and the LDDS make it possible to generate easily calculated interest:
- 1 000 euros deposited all year round produce 30 euros interest.

The Popular Savings Booklet (LEP) offers a variable return depending on the time of the year: 6% until January 31, 5% until July 31, then 4% since August.
