Champions League: Pep Guardiola is careful not to underestimate Juventus

If the Cityzens have stopped the bleeding of defeats, they are not yet cured. The proof, last weekend, they were led twice on the pitch at Crystal Palace before reacting and securing a draw (2-2). Not really something to brag about but the bud of a pride, long gone. A pride which the British will have to demonstrate again when returning to the Champions League where they remain in a traumatic draw against Feyenoord, guilty of having squandered a 3-goal lead a quarter of an hour from the end of the regulation time (3-3). A leniency that they will not be able to afford in Turin. “Juve is still Juve. In Italy, they are the best team, a historic club and they are used to playing under pressure”warns Pep Guardiola who refutes the idea that the Bianconeri are less dangerous because they are prone to draws this season (11 in 20 matches in all competitions, editor's note). “I don't trust Juventus' dummies. In general, I never trust Juve, even if they arrive tomorrow with ten wins in a row,” he teased, believing that “the (Turin) team needs time to settle in and do what the coach asks of them. It's not easy to implement new things quickly, I didn't win a title the first year in Manchester: they then gave me confidence and the story speaks for itself.”
