Many users have complained of problems accessing the Californian group's social networks.
A massive breakdown. This Wednesday, December 11, many users are experiencing problems on Facebook, Instagram and other Meta services. Several took refuge on X (formerly Twitter) to report difficulties.
As Tech&Co noted, it is for example impossible to access Instagram, the platform sending an error message. It is also impossible to send messages on Whatsapp.
Many users have also made reports on the Downdetector site, whether in France, the United States, Spain or even Japan.
Meta “aware” of the problem
Indicating to be “aware that a technical problem affects the ability of certain users to access [ces] applications”, Meta assured to work “to restore the situation as quickly as possible”. A message which was also shared on the X accounts of Instagram and Whatsapp.
This outage comes two months after the last one which affected the services of the Californian group. Last October, many users reported problems, particularly when accessing Facebook and Instagram.
