This evening, Arte is broadcasting a film released in theaters in 2022, and shot in the North-West Vendée: on the island of Noirmoutier, the island of Yeu and in Saint-Jean-de-Monts: The Passenger. It can be discovered or rediscovered this evening at 8:55 p.m.
This is the first feature film of the director Héloïse Pelloquet, filmed between April and May 2021 in Vendée. The actress Cécile de France plays the main role. She plays a fisherwoman who will fall under the spell of a young apprentice (Félix Lefebvre).
The scenario is as follows: “Chiara, 42 years old, and her husband Antoine are fishermen on a remote island on the Atlantic coast. As a storm rages, Maxence, their new apprentice, arrives on the island, and in Chiara's life. »
The young actor Félix Lefebvre had already been noticed in the film by François Ozon, Summer 85.
Residents of the island of Noirmoutier also took part in the filming. Jean-Pierre Couton titular boss of the SNSM who had the role of Tony in the film confided to Vendée mail after filming: “My meeting with Cécile de France was great, this actress puts everyone at ease, she is very simple and very friendly. The technicians and the other actors were also able to put me at ease, without forgetting to mention Héloïse who remains calm whatever happens and knows how to direct everyone perfectly.
The film The Passenger will be broadcast this Wednesday evening on Arte at 8:55 p.m. It is already available on the Arte Video platform
