The 13-year-old girl had been missing since November 25 when she did not go to her college in Côtes-d'Armor. A 21-year-old man was taken into custody.
Morgane Rivoal, the 13-year-old girl missing since November 25 in Pabu, in Côtes-d'Armor, was found alive, BFMTV learned this Tuesday, December 10 from the Saint-Brieuc prosecutor.
The teenager was in Coutances (Manche) where she was located at the beginning of the week. Gendarmes from the Rennes research section found her in a young workers' home. Morgane will be quickly examined by a doctor and interviewed by investigators.
A man in police custody
A 21-year-old young man, originally from Rennes, and who also resided in the home, was taken into police custody on charges of “kidnapping and sequestration of a minor under 15 years of age”. He is suspected of being involved in Morgane's disappearance. But at this stage, nothing is known about what the girl did during the 15 days she was wanted.
On November 25, Morgane's mother reported her disappearance to the Guingamp gendarmerie, after the management of the Albert Camus college in Graces, where the teenager attends school, warned her that she had not shown up. The morning.
-That day, Morgane left Pabu's family home, as usual, but did not get on the school bus. A preliminary investigation followed by a judicial investigation for “disturbing disappearance” had been opened by the Saint-Brieuc public prosecutor’s office.
Significant research resources deployed
Significant resources were quickly put in place by the gendarmerie, with up to 70 soldiers present on the ground. Saint-Hubert dogs, renowned for their sense of smell, had been deployed. The dogs had lost track of Morgane a few kilometers from her home. Beats had been organized, as well as door-to-door raids. This Monday again, road checks were carried out by 40 gendarmes.
Runaway, accident, intervention of a third party… all avenues were considered by the authorities. A crumpled note on which was written “Dad, Mom, sorry, I’m leaving” was found in her basket.
Investigators also focused on the girl's two cell phones. Their almost addictive use was a source of conflict with his parents. The gendarmes notably discovered conversations with men older than the teenager.
