World Cup. Kontiolahti: Endre Stroemsheim and the Norwegians respond with a hat-trick on the short individual

The second individual short in the history of the Biathlon World Cup was won by Andre Stroemsheim this Tuesday afternoon in Kontiolahti (Finland). The French placed three athletes in the top 8.

After their great victory in the relay on Sunday, the French fell a little short of the targets to continue with a new podium this Tuesday during the short individual race in Kontiolahti (Finland).

Like Eric Perrot (6th at 1'22). The Savoyard came very close to a 20/20 and an excellent result. The fault lies with a slightly held back twentieth and final ball, which missed the target (19/20).

Fillon Maillet, best French ski time

Very good on skis, Quentin Fillon Maillet (5th at 1'10) may regret an error with each of his sunset shots (18/20). The winner of the big globe in 2022 has, in any case, proven that he is on the pace by setting the third skiing time.

Also at 18/20, Fabien Claude (8th at 1'44) confirmed his very good relay with a 10/10 on his first two shots. But the Vosges then dropped a ball lying down and another standing up.

Interesting for Guigonnat

Two mistakes as well, but a promising reunion with the World Cup for Antonin Guigonnat (16th at 2'11). After a fault on each of his first shots, the Haut-Savoyard followed up with a 10/10 (18/20).

Also back on the world circuit, Emilien Claude (31st at 3'08) may have paid for a little nervousness on his first two shots (1 and 2 faults), before rectifying the situation during his last two passages on the shooting range.

Three faults are also the results of Dauphinois Emilien Jacquelin (14th at 2'01 with the 4th ski time) who, after a 5/5 on his first stand, dropped a ball each time he passed the shooting range. (17/20).

Johannes Boe battu par Endre Stroemshein

As very often on a short individual, you had to shoot at 20/20. This is how Endre Stroemsheim beat Johannes Boe (19/20) by three seconds! Thus signing his second World Cup victory.

Beaten by the French on Sunday, the Norwegians set the record straight, since Sturla Holm Laegreid (20/20) allowed them to achieve a hat-trick… Just ahead of the young Ukrainian Vitalii Mandzyn (21), excellent fourth with a nice 20/20.

Next meeting: Friday (4:20 p.m.) with the sprint.

The ladies will be on track Wednesday for their short individual (4:20 p.m.).
