Ajax has Mika Godts available again. The Belgian wing attacker was out of action for a while, but is ready for duty again. Francesco Farioli announced this through Ajax’s channels.
“Godts’ recovery is going well and I am positive towards Sunday,” the Italian revealed in the run-up to the match against AZ on Sunday. That is a boost for Ajax, because Godts has been an absolute revelation this season. In the Eredivisie, our nineteen-year-old compatriot was already good for eight starting places and two goals. In Europe he added four more goals.
The dribbler was sidelined for almost a month with a hamstring problem. That problem is now a thing of the past. Ajax has now risen to second place in the Eredivisie, six points behind leader PSV. It set the bar high with victories over Feyenoord and PSV, although the performance afterwards was somewhat disappointing. A move to AZ awaits on Sunday.
