The former defender of Fiorentina and Cagliari, Alessandro Agostini, spoke to Radio FirenzeViola during “Viola Weekend” to talk about tomorrow’s challenge: “It will be a tough match because on both sides there is the motivation to do well. Of course Fiorentina’s level is superior and they will make it count but Cagliari must save themselves and will fight for this.”
Do you like the Viola defense and Comuzzo in particular? “I know Comuzzo because I also had him as an opponent when I coached the Cagliari Primavera team, but it’s not just the individuals in the Viola’s defensive solidity because the coach’s hand is there. Comuzzo could be seen to have the quality to become an important player but not I expected him to grow up so quickly, he deserves it because he will have put his all into being a protagonist.”
What match does Cagliari have to play? “The coaches will have studied all the details, Cagliari will have to be careful because Fiorentina have quality in every department.”
Has Sottil grown up? “In some respects yes, for me he has great qualities and when he manages to make them available he will make the difference.”
Mina versus Kean? “It will be a good duel, Mina has personality and is doing well but she will find a difficult opponent to mark.”
A judgment on Ranieri? “He’s intelligent, he knows how to read the situation, he has playing times, he’s a leader and he shows it on the pitch. He’s grown, he gives confidence and I hope Spalletti’s call comes”
